My 1st Learning Log


1st Week of Studying on July 12th 2018.
(Computer Application for English Language Teaching

     Hi, Guys!!! This is my 1st Learning Log of this subject. Before I start my Learning Log, I would like to introduce or talk about this course or this subject: Computer Application for English Language Teaching first. In this subjects, I will study about how to apply Computer Technology for Language Teaching. Also, this blog is one of them. 

     For my 1st Learning Log, I will talk about Weblogs for Use with ESL Classes. It contains about Weblog and Three types of Weblogs for Use in ESL Classrooms. 


      
     A weblog 
     A weblog(or blog) can be though of as an online journal that an  individual can continuously update with his or her own words, ideas, and thoughts by using software that is very easy to do. 
A weblog is different from a standard website. Weblog are made by typing directly trough the web-browser, but for a standard website you have to use a program or software to do so. Moreover, a weblog is interactive, in the dense that readers can respond to any given entry with a comment and even threaded discussions can take place depending on the software chosen.

     Three Types of Weblogs for Use in ESL Classrooms


The Tutor Blog 
     The Tutor Blog is a type of weblog that is run by the tutor for the learners. This type serves many purposes. It gives daily reading practice to the learners. It promotes exploration of English websites. It encourages online verbal exchange by use of comment cottons. It provides class or syllabus information. It serve as a resource of links for self-study.

The Learner Blog
     The Learner Blog is a type of weblog that is either run by individual learners themselves or by small collaborative groups of learners. 

The Class Blog

     The class Blog is a type of weblog that is collaborative of an entire class This blog run by both teachers and students.
